Jason Jordan, Licensed Professional Counselor
I have been practicing as an LPC since 1996, seeing a variety of clients, teenagers and adults. And I have been an LPC board-approved supervisor since 2002. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1990, and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1994.
I have a particular interest in anxiety-related issues, from day-to-day stressors that impair work performance and personal relationships, to severe anxiety that causes uncontrollable episodes of panic or vivid recall of prior traumatic experiences.
I regularly work with folks experiencing depression, marital or relationship struggles, decreased self confidence, or those who simply want a more fulfilling life. I received advanced marital training from Dr. John Gottman in Seattle, Washington, and integrate his scientifically validated techniques into marital therapy.
When not working, I become a chauffeur, driving my two children from one activity to another. I enjoy hiking with family, especially in the mountains of Colorado and Wyoming. I also enjoy music and spending time with a few close friends.
